If you request a drum painting workshop this is what you can expect. You would have had a journey with your drum as it is made, how many 'spokes' would you like as your handle to hold your drum by at the back (have a look at ? Which goat skin feels right...and then when you arrive at the workshop you will be taken through a process of connecting with your drum. A mediation. Simply holding. Being with this being... and moving then into a space of working with art materials and your drum. These can be as personal as using colouring additives from your home, your own materials...etc...
After this, Elaine will then coach you through the process of actively engaging with the surface and sides of our drum. As an Art Coach and Shamanic Practitioner she will assist and guide you through this process and hold space on both levels, and more.
If you choose to create a rattle from scratch with Elaine, expect a very similar process, but obviously expect to birth a Rattle for your tool kit.
